The UHP torch cutters are highly versatile members of MCR’s family of pipe recovery tools. The system utilizes a non-HAZMAT rated fuel source with all associated components radio safe. The non-rated components allow for the tools to be shipped via any means of transport for delivery time measured in hours instead of weeks.

As with all XRT cutting systems, properly anchored tools can be initiated on eline,slickline with a downhole power unit/trigger, and coil tubing or pipe with pressure firing systems. Inconel®, Monel®, Hastelloy® and other tough materials offer no challenge to the superior MCR technology inherent in each torch.

Upon activation, XRT’s erodes the target with a ceramic integrated stream, resulting in the removal of the target material. By removing the material at the cut zone, as opposed to displacing it, a clean and uniform severance occurs - allowing for unobstructed overshot if desired. Simple to handle and modular in construction, the XRT line of tools, as with all MCR systems, are designed with user safety and versatility built-in.
